Baptism

"Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the holy Spirit" Matthew 28:19


In order to celebrate the Sacrament of Baptism for a child, the following is required:

REGISTRATION

1. Only the parents of a child are able to register a child for baptism.

2. Family must present a copy of the child’s Birth Certificate (The proper names and spelling of the child will appear on the Baptismal Certificate as it does on the Birth Certificate).

3. Children under the age of 7 are to be Baptized in this form (If the child is over 7 years of age, he/she must be enrolled for Religious Education class).

4. Fill out the registration form with the most current information on the family.

5. Choose a date for the baptism.

 

A registration fee of $50.00 is requested upon making arrangements for the baptism.

GODPARENTS

  • Please have the names of the godparents available upon registration.
  • If the godparents are a married couple, they must have celebrated the Sacrament of Matrimony.
  • If they are single, they must be living a healthy Christian life according to the teachings of the Church.
  • Only Roman Catholics are formally allowed to become godparents. Godparents must be above the age of 16.

 

Baptisms in Spanish are on Saturdays at 11:00 AM.
Baptisms in English are on Sundays at 2:00 PM.

Bautismo

 “Por tanto, vayan y hagan discípulos de todas las naciones, bautizándolos en el nombre del Padre y del Hijo y del Espíritu Santo” Mateo 28:19


Para celebrar el Sacramento de Bautismo de un niño lo siguiente se requiere:

Registracion 

  1.  Solo los padres pueden registrar el niño para bautizarse.
  2. Las familias necesitan presentar una copia del acto de nacimiento del niño ( el nombre propio y deletreo aparecerá en el certificado de bautismo como en el certificado de nacimiento).
  3. Niños bajo la edad de 7 serán bautizados en esta forma ( si el niño tiene más de 7 años, tendrán que ser registrados para clases de Educación Religiosa).
  4. Llena la forma de registración con la información más actualizada de la familia.
  5. Escoge una fecha para el bautismo.

Un pago de matrícula  de $50.00 se pide en arreglar el bautismo.

 Padrinos

  • Por favor de tener los nombres de los padrinos disponibles en cuanto registre
  • Si los padrinos son una pareja, ellos necesitarían celebrar el sacramento de matrimonio.
  • Si son solteros, ellos deben vivir una vida cristiana sana en acuerdo con los enseñamientos de la Iglesia.
  • Solamente católicos romanos pueden  ser padrinos. Los padrinos deben tener más de 16 años.

Los Bautismos en Español son los Sábados a las 11am.

Bautismos en Inglés son los Domingos a las 2pm.
