Church Message

Dear brothers and sisters of St. Bede and St. Dennis Parish. I want to introduce myself, I am Fr. Alejandro Marca Mansilla. I was born in Peru, in 1967 on September 22. I was Ordained a Priest on December 8, 1994 in the city of Lima, Peru. In the year 2000 I was invited to speak at an event of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal in Chicago for the first time, and I can say that since then, I have a connection with this city. Years later in 2006 I was invited to collaborate with a parish on the South Side of Chicago, and that was when the desire arose to respond to a special call and stay in this city to exercise my ministry as a priest. Since 2016 I have been part of the clergy of the Archdiocese of Chicago, which has led me to respond in obedience to the needs of Archdiocese of Chicago, I have been present in several parishes, in the South, North, East and West of our Archdiocese. I am convinced that this experience has given me not only the physical knowledge of it, but also a closer understanding of the various realities of our Archdiocese, which is why upon receiving the call from the Archbishop Cardinal Blase J. Cupish, to serve in this parish, led me to say YES, without hesitation and be able to accompany and walk together as a community of faith. I am convinced that together we will con- tinue building on the Rock, as St. Matthew 7:24 invites us. I am at your service to continue on this path, as we have been invited as disciples, to give and plant the values of the Kingdom in our Archdiocese of Chicago. Yours in Christ Fr. Muy apreciados hermanos y hermanas de la Parroquia de San Bede y San Dennis. Quiero presentarme personalmente, soy el Padre Alejandro Marca Mansilla. Nací en Perú, en el año 1967 un 22 de septiembre. Ordenado Presbítero un 08 de diciembre de 1994 en la ciudad de Lima, Perú. En el año 2000 vine por primera vez a la ciudad de Chicago invitado a predicar un evento de la Renovación Carismática Católica, y podría decir que desde aquella época se crearon los vínculos con esta ciudad. Años más tarde en el 2006 fui invitado a colaborar con una parroquia en el Sur de Chicago, y entonces fue cuando surgió el deseo de responder a un llamado especial y quedarme en esta ciudad para ejercer mi ministerio como sacerdote. Desde 2016 formo parte del clero de la Arquidiócesis de Chicago, lo que me ha llevado a responder en obediencia a las necesidades de esta arquidiócesis, es así como estado presente en varias parroquias, tanto del Sur, Norte, Este y Oeste de nuestra arquidiócesis. Estoy convencido de que esta experiencia me ha brindado no solo el conocimiento físico de la misma, sino además conocer mas de cerca las diversas realidades de nuestra Arquidiócesis, por lo que al recibir la llamada del Señor arzobispo Cardenal Blase J. Cupich, para servir en esta parroquia, me llevo a dar el SI, sin titubeos y así poderles acompañar y caminar juntos como comunidad de fe. Estoy convencido que juntos continuare- mos en la edificación sobre la Roca, como nos in- vita San Mateo 7,24. A su disposición y servicio para continuar en este camino de la invitación que tenemos a formarnos como discípulos, para dar y sembrar los valores del Reino en esta porción de nuestra Arquidiócesis de Chicago.
